White House pushes US Airlines to Mandate Vaccines

The White House is pushing the US airlines to mandate coronavirus vaccination for employees by December 8.  The deadline is also considered for federal contractors and the date will not be taken back.

As per the trusted source of information, the White House Covid-19 response coordinator spoke to the chief executives of Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.

Two more airlines including JetBlue Airways and Alaska Airlines said that they would fulfill the coronavirus vaccine mandate for federal contractors. JetBlue Airways said it had “communicated this vaccine requirement to our crew members.” And also the Alaska Airlines said, “The date by which employees must be fully vaccinated has not been confirmed by the government, but it could be as early as Dec. 8.”

Whereas, United Airlines said that almost 99.5 percent of its U.S.-based employees have been vaccinated. They further said only 320 US-based staff were not in compliance with its vaccination policy. United Airlines became the first carrier to require vaccination for their staff and also they have fired few employees who have not submitted the vaccination proof.
