Portal Go and Portal Plus, the portal video calling devices are launched by Facebook on Tuesday.
The Social media giant first uncovered its Portal devices in 2018. As all the companies are still delaying the office joining, so Facebook is exploiting the need to connect to the colleagues and loved over the video calls. Facebook races alongside Google’s Nest Hub and Amazon’s Echo Show products in the home.
Portal Go device comes up with a 10-inch HD display with a 12MP ultra-wide front-facing camera. The price of the Portal Go device is $199. The device includes 5W speakers, a 4-mic array, and a 20W woofer.
The device also features a carrying handle and a long-lasting battery which will last up to five hours of one-on-one calling via Messenger and Zoom video calls from anywhere in your home.
The Portal Plus device comes up with a 14-inch 1440p display that inclines to provide you better angles when on a video call.
The Portal+ also features the same kind of speaker set as the Portal Go with the addition of 2 passive radiators. The Portal+ is available at the price of $349.
Both the devices have the camera disable buttons and mic as well as integrated camera covers for superfluous privacy.
The redesigned Portal Go and Portal Plus are available for pre-order starting from Tuesday and will begin shipping on Oct.19.
Moreover, Facebook has also stated the Portal for Business, a service for midsize and small businesses that will let establishments purchase, deploy, and remotely manage Portal devices for their employees.
