New Guidelines issued by CDS for Summer Camps

The Centers for Disease Control for Prevention (CDC) issued new guidelines for summer camps to control the coronavirus spread within the children’s

CDC recommended that everyone should wear masks in camp facilities except while eating, drinking, and swimming. Indoor activities and close contact outdoor sports are being discouraged. If the activities are indoors then they should leave windows and doors open

New Guidelines issued by CDS for Summer Camps

CDC also encourages camp employees over the age of 16 to get vaccinated before joining the camp. Those who are not vaccinated should self-quarantine for two weeks and those who are not fully vaccinated should also provide proof of negative test before arriving at the camp

The CDC guidance also urges children not to share toys, books, games, and other electronic devices. Naptime mats should be sanitized before and after use.

Social Distancing should be maintained in the campus area. Children should maintain 3 feet’s of distance with other children’s and Camp counselors and other adults should maintain 6 feet’s of distance from children and each other

Screening of children and staff members for coronavirus should be done throughout the camps in order to limit the transmission
