JBS Foods, the world’s largest meat producer has been hit by a cybersecurity attack. The cyberattack has shut down its networks across United States, Australia, and Canada. JBS is the leading processor of beef, fork, and other prepared foods
The JBS said that the attack affected the servers supporting its IT systems in North America and Australia.
“On Sunday, 30 May, JBS USA determined that it was the target of an organized cybersecurity attack, affecting some of the servers supporting it’s North American and Australian IT systems,” it said in a statement released Monday afternoon, US time.
“Resolution of the incident will take time, which may delay certain transactions with customers and suppliers.”
JSB Foods has operations in 15 countries and has customer’s overs 100 countries according to the JSB. And JSB USA is a part of JSB Foods.
JSB said that their backup servers not affected by the attack, the Incident Response firm is working to restore the systems. Now, the company has activated the global network of IT professionals to resolve the current situation
“The company is not aware of any evidence at this time that any customer, supplier, or employee data has been compromised or misused as a result of the situation. Resolution of the incident will take time, which may delay certain transactions with customers and suppliers,” JBS wrote.
